There are a number of ways to become a part of the international MoCA/NY community and we encourage you to get involved by writing an article, promoting your exhibitions and events, becoming a sponsor, and ensuring that our map features all of the clay wonders and destinations of the world. We need YOU to bring this community together.

MoCA/NY’s Ceramic World Destination’s Map contains 4,000 international ceramic-related destinations. To submit your destination, or to suggest one that isn’t already on our map, please review our Submissions Criteria and share the details with us through our submission form.

Submission Criteria

 

Destinations will be vetted in accordance with the following criteria and must meet the standard and quality of MoCA/NY.
  1. Must have a publicly accessible physical location. Locations that are “by appointment only” are permitted if booking information is available on the website.
  2. Only destinations with an online presence will be listed.
  3. The website must include contact and visiting information.
  4. Submit primary and secondary types of destination. Only 2 types are accepted.
  5. A destination must match at least one of the following definitions:
ARTIST:
  • A devoted practitioner with personal style and commitment to excellence.
  • Website contains an accurate representation of artistic vision, portfolio, and CV.
CULTURAL HERITAGE SITE:
  • Historical venues: architectural, archeological, geological, and monumental sites related to ceramics.
GALLERY:
  • Exhibitions and representation that include ceramic artworks and artists.
INSTITUTION:
  • An institution with an educational focus and curriculum dedicated to the practice and professional advancement of ceramic art.
MANUFACTURER:
  • A person, group, or factory with ceramic manufacturing and production capabilities.
MUSEUM:
  • Exhibitions and collections that include ceramic art and artists.
ORGANIZATION:
  • An association, network, or group that engages and sustains a community for the ceramic arts.
RESIDENCY:
  • A dedicated destination providing time and space to work with clay.
STORE:
  • A retail establishment that presents ceramic design and supplies.
STUDIO:
  • Ceramic studios that are accessible to the public and provide memberships, rental, classes, and/or firing services.

EXPLORE is MoCA/NY’s editorial blog which features intimate interviews with ceramic artists, thoughtful reviews of current exhibitions, exposés on innovative clay technologies, destination guides, and more! Help us foster a deeper understanding of the evolving ceramic art landscape.

If you’d like to showcase your gallery or museum exhibition or share the news of a new project, initiative, event or competition, we encourage you to underwrite with us.

We have over 12,000 international ceramic artists, academics, students, curators, writers, galleries, collectors, suppliers, designers, museums, and associations subscribed to our newsletter. Your activity or exhibition can be featured in our newsletter, social media, or our website for nominal fees.


We are currently offering the following underwriting opportunities. You are more than welcome to purchase a combination of these at this first time initial discounted rates.
Promotion Form
We invite you to join us as a business partner of MoCA/NY. Sponsoring our work will help us to advance the appreciation, understanding, and enjoyment of ceramics through exhibitions, research, education, and scholarship. In turn, we will put your business in front of thousands of ceramics enthusiasts, artists and scholars.

With your monthly or annual committment, your hyperlinked logo will be featured on the Sponsors section of our homepage and on our email newsletters, which are sent to 12,000 individuals monthly. With an annual sponsorship, we will also feature your business or organization on our social media platforms. Choose $100 per month or $1000 for a full year.
